across the Cors Caron nature reserve

- Pen
Dinas
A well-known Iron Age hillfort in
a prominent coastal position, overlooking
Aberystwyth on one side and the sea
on the other. Take the A487 south
from Aberystwyth, across bridge and
through Trefechan. Just beyond Trefechan,
take right hand turn marked No Through
Road. Follow road 0.8km and park in
the pull-in just beyond the gate on
the left, signed public footpath.
Take the track up to the summit, heading
for the Wellington Monument. More

- Fforest
Enterprise (Nant Yr Arian)The
Centre is situated 10 miles from Aberystwyth
on the A44 to Llangurig. Kestrels,
buzzards and the rare red kites may
all be seen in the vicinity. There
are four orienteering courses of varying
difficulty and a mountain bike zone.
Daily Easter-end October: 10.00am-5.00pm
(longer in summer months). Walks &

Bridge (Walk nearby) Four
waymarked walks begin from The Arch
Picnic Site, through a variety of
terrain. The view of the surrounding
mountains of Mid-Wales from the Panorama
Walk is incredible. ADAS's brand new
5 mile Peiran Trail is now fully open.

- YNYS-HIR
RESERVE:
The reserve is on the south side of
the Dyfi estuary and offers a wide
range of habitats: salt and freshwater
marsh, reed bed, peat bog, woodland
and open hillside. Sixty-seven species
of bird breed here regularly. (Open
Easter onwards).
